Privacy Policy

ClickFit is built around a simple principle: your windows belong to you, and so does your data. This page explains exactly what we collect, why, and what we will never touch.

1. Overview

ClickFit is a macOS menu-bar utility for moving, resizing, snapping, tiling, and arranging windows. The app runs entirely on your Mac. We do not run analytics, telemetry, or any tracking inside the desktop application. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers. We are a small independent developer based in Türkiye, and the only personal data we process is what you give us when you buy a Pro license or contact us.

Window frames, layouts, workspaces, and tab groups created by ClickFit are stored locally on your Mac and never leave your device.

2. Data We Collect

We collect only the minimum data required to deliver the product:

  • Purchase data. When you buy a Pro license, our payment processor collects your email address and billing details to complete the transaction. We never see or store your full payment card details.
  • License activation. When you activate your Pro license, the app verifies your key and binds it to your Mac so it cannot be used on more devices than you purchased.
  • Update checks. The app periodically checks whether a new version is available so it can offer you the update. No personal identifier is attached.
  • Crash reports (optional). If you opt in, ClickFit may send anonymous crash reports that include the crash stack trace, the app version, and the macOS version. They do not contain window content, document paths, keystrokes, or your name.
  • Support emails. If you email us, we keep the message, your email address, and any attachments you send so we can reply and follow up.

3. How We Use Data

  • To process your purchase and issue your license key.
  • To verify that your license is active and limit activation to your purchased number of devices.
  • To deliver software updates and security fixes.
  • To diagnose and fix crashes, only when you have opted in to crash reports.
  • To respond to your support emails.

We do not use your data to train AI models or to build advertising profiles.

4. Accessibility Permission

ClickFit requires the macOS Accessibility permission in order to move and resize your windows. Without it, the app cannot do its job.

ClickFit never accesses, processes, or transmits any of your private information. Window content, documents, keystrokes, and clipboard data stay on your Mac and are never seen by us.

5. Data Retention

  • Purchase and license records are retained for as long as your license is active plus the period required by tax and accounting law.
  • Crash reports are retained for up to 90 days, then deleted.
  • Support emails are kept for as long as is reasonably useful for follow-up support, and then deleted on request.

6. Security

The desktop app is signed with our Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple. License activation traffic is sent over TLS. Payment data is handled entirely by our payment processor under PCI-compliant infrastructure — we never receive your card details. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep the surface area small on purpose.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced on our website and, where required by law, by email.
