A maintenance update for trackpad gestures and shortcut conflicts.
Fixes
- Gestures Work with a Visible Dock
Swipe-down actions, Throw to Zone and the Layout Picker never fired if you don't auto-hide the Dock.
- No Accidental Triggers While Switching Spaces
A fast swipe between Spaces no longer opens Throw to Zone or the Layout Picker.
- Quiet During Mission Control & App Exposé
Gestures are ignored while these are on screen.
- Minimize & Hide Fixed
A window minimized or an app hidden from the panel no longer comes straight back.
Improvements
- Clearer Shortcut Warnings
Recorders now tell you why a shortcut can't be taken, and flag combinations macOS already uses.
- Version at a Glance
Settings now shows the version you're running.
ClickFit 2.0 rebuilds the menu bar interface, adds a full 3×3 grid to the tiling engine, and brings back support for macOS 14 Sonoma.
New Features
- Redesigned Interface
The menu bar UI is now a single panel where every section expands in place.
- Ninths — 3×3 Grid Tiling
All nine cells of a 3×3 grid, the four 2×2 corner blocks, and full-width top, middle and bottom bands. Two new layouts come with it: 9 Grid and ⅔ Left + 3 Right.
- Menu Bar Menu
Toggle ClickFit, run a window action, apply a favorite layout or restore a workspace straight from the menu bar.
- Swipe Down Trackpad Gestures
Bind a 3-finger or 4-finger downward swipe to any action.
- Minimize All Windows & Hide All Apps
Two display-wide actions that clear the screen you're on. Both toggle: running one again restores only the windows or apps it changed.
- 6 Grid (2×3) Layout
A vertical six-up arrangement for tall and portrait displays.
- Inline Shortcut Recording
Record a shortcut on the layout tile or action row itself, and reset any binding with Restore Default.
- Duplicate Workspaces
Copy an existing workspace instead of capturing a new one.
Improvements
- macOS 14 Sonoma Support
ClickFit now runs on macOS 14 and later, down from macOS 15.
- Menu Bar Icon Readable on Every Display
The icon no longer fades on the display that doesn't own the active menu bar.
- Window Gaps in Settings
Inner and outer gap controls now live in the Settings section of the panel.
- Backup, Restore & Reset
Reset to Defaults now restores gestures, triggers and layout preferences too, and import and export report failures instead of failing silently.
- Clearer Shortcut List
Shortcuts are grouped into eight action categories.
New Features
- Tile Size Cycling
Press the same tile shortcut repeatedly to cycle the window between half, adaptive, two-thirds, and one-third sizes.
- Tab Bar Window Controls
Close, minimize, or maximize an entire tab group with its own traffic light buttons.
- Tab Drag & Drop
Drag tabs to reorder them, or drag one away to detach it from the group.
- Liquid Glass Interface
The Layout Picker adopts the new Liquid Glass material on macOS 26 Tahoe.
Improvements
- Smarter Fullscreen Handling for Tab Groups
Entering fullscreen now detaches only that window instead of affecting the whole group.
- Workspace Hover Preview On by Default
Workspace previews now appear on hover out of the box.
- Consistent Preview Overlays
Tile and layout previews now share the same refined visual style.
- Refreshed Menu Bar Icon
A cleaner icon that renders better at small sizes.

Improvements
- More Reliable Shortcut Recording
Recording keyboard shortcuts now handles conflicts and session state more consistently across the Action Hub and custom layouts.
- Smoother Native Resize Coupling
Coupled resizing is steadier when you drag a window's edge directly instead of using ClickFit's own resize gesture.
New Features
- Automatic Update Checks
ClickFit can now check for new versions automatically and notify you when an update is available. Toggle it on or off from Settings.
- Settings Backup & Restore
Export all your settings, shortcuts, custom layouts, and workspaces to a single file — then import them back on another Mac or after a reinstall.

Choose which window actions skip auto-tabbing, giving you finer control over when windows get grouped into tabs.
Improvements

System Settings is excluded from tab grouping to prevent AX conflicts.
New Features
- Workspace Configurations
Save a named snapshot of your entire window layout across all apps and restore it with a single hotkey — even after a restart.
- Tab Groups
Stack multiple windows into a tabbed group that shares a single frame. Switch between tabs to bring the right window forward without cluttering your desktop.
- Native Resize Coupling Preview
Coupled resize now works with macOS's own window handles — neighboring windows show a live preview of how they will reflow as you drag.

A new step-by-step walkthrough guides first-time users through ClickFit's core gestures and features.
